TLC The Learning Centre, a Special Educational Needs school in Bromley, is committed to the health and wellbeing of its staff through the ongoing initiative Wellbeing Wednesdays. Every Wednesday, TLC and other Melrose schools dedicate time to special activities and thoughtful gifts, ensuring staff are supported both mentally and physically.
Each month, TLC’s Wellbeing Lead, Alison, introduces a new theme. Since September, these have included Healthy Eating and Nutrition, Giving, and Random Acts of Kindness, providing opportunities for staff to recharge, reflect, and celebrate their own wellbeing.
Helen Dyer, Principal of TLC, said:
“Our staff are at the heart of everything we do, and Wellbeing Wednesdays are a wonderful way to acknowledge their dedication. When our teams feel supported and healthy, they can provide the best care and education for our learners. It’s a simple yet powerful reminder that looking after ourselves is part of looking after others.”
Wellbeing Wednesdays help unite staff in a shared focus on health, resilience, and positivity, strengthening the school community while ensuring that the learners’ welfare remains the top priority.
