Learners, families and staff at TLC School came together on Friday 19th June to celebrate the achievements of the school’s Year 11 and Year 12 learners as they marked the end of an important chapter in their educational journey.
Following the completion of their GCSE examinations, learners were joined by parents and carers for a special leavers’ celebration, recognising the hard work, resilience and determination they have demonstrated throughout their time at TLC School.
As part of the event, each learner was presented with a commemorative leavers’ hoodie and a gift card to mark the occasion and celebrate their achievements. The afternoon provided an opportunity for learners, families and staff to reflect on their successes and look ahead with excitement to the next stage of their education.
Learners will return to TLC School on Thursday 20th August for GCSE Results Day before beginning their transitions into new schools, colleges and further education opportunities.
Alex Buck, Head of School at TLC School, said:
“We are incredibly proud of everything our Year 11 and Year 12 learners have achieved during their time at TLC School. They have shown resilience, determination and tremendous personal growth, particularly throughout their GCSE examinations. It was wonderful to celebrate this important milestone alongside their families, and we wish every learner the very best as they move on to the next stage of their education. We look forward to welcoming them back on Results Day to celebrate their achievements once again.”
Everyone at TLC School wishes the departing learners every success for the future and looks forward to hearing about the exciting opportunities that lie ahead.
